Bises, the award winning English style Japanese Garden magazine has a special feature in April’s edition of none other than the Cuckoo Brow Inn.
This traditional Lake District inn located in the sleepy village of Far Sawrey is naturally rather excited they have been featured in such a prestigious magazine all those many miles away. The connection is of course Beatrix Potter with Far Sawrey being just a short stroll from Hill Top, the once home of Beatrix Potter and her beloved gardens. Beatrix Potter is truly massive in Japan and the popularity just seems to grow and grow. Grandparents read the books in English at school and their grandchildren are doing the same. Japanese visitors flock in the thousands to see where this writer and artist lived and of course, the whole of the beautiful Lake District.
The Cuckoo Brow Inn has been given a review as a place to eat, drink and stay when visiting Hill Top. The exact words are still to be translated but a very obliging Japanese Facebook follower of Cuckoo Brow’s has offered this service!
The tasty, local food combined with the atmosphere of a traditional inn and of course the stunning views is what makes The Cuckoo Brow Inn a hit for visitors from all over the world. Being a Lake District inn with accommodation is another great bonus.
So, watch this space for the exact translation of the feature, which as seen in the image above is a very healthy half page and in the meantime peruse the Inn’s website for more food, offer and accommodation information, http://www.cuckoobrow.co.uk/
